Care Instructions for Chenille Yarn Amigurumi
To keep your chenille yarn amigurumi looking its best, handwashing is essential. The gentle approach preserves the delicate shape and intricate details that make your creation unique. Use lukewarm water (up to 30°C) and a mild wool detergent to maintain the yarn's colour and softness. Avoid harsh detergents, which can dull the vibrancy and diminish the cuddly texture of your amigurumi. A small amount of detergent is sufficient—excessive residue can make your amigurumi feel stiff.
For added protection, place your amigurumi in a mesh laundry bag before washing. This minimizes the risk of snags and abrasion. When washing, gently squeeze the amigurumi to remove excess water; avoid wringing, as this can distort its shape.
After washing, lay your amigurumi flat on a clean towel or drying rack in a well-ventilated area, away from direct sunlight. Sunlight can fade its vibrant colours. As it dries, gently reshape it with your hands to maintain its original form and ensure it remains as charming and huggable as ever.
